A Portfolio

Time to buckle down and actually make a portfolio so I can really start to show my work around. I just have such a hard time making myself do the mundane things when I could be painting, sewing, waxing....anything but setting up lights and cutting mats. Then I need to find a good place to get high quality prints made. I am sure there are tons of places online.
It is also time to write an artist statement. I haven't done one in a long time, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. Focus is had to come by in my work. I feel like the pieces are all over the place. I have made some progress on looking at what is driving to make things.
Here are some snippets from my journal,

"My goal is to make someone feel good?-No,magical- My goal is to make someone ask questions, look around, make connections, and feel mysterious,magical...How do I distill this into an object. Transformation of a sacred object. That's why I like books- object, service, action, mode of transfiguration...A book begs to be opened- Book as Sacred Object."

Taska, it is interesting to see you share your thoughts and work! I am in France, now, although my future at the moment is highly unstable. I am waiting for a new job to take me somewhere else (or to keep me here) or for my company to be bought/financed (and take me somewhere else). I hope you're well and enjoying your (relatively) new job!
