Color Collecting IV

Just bought a wonderful book by Mimi Robinson called "Local Color".  It is all about creating palettes for places she paints.  So I dug out my Ireland travel journal to look at the palette.
Funny, I did this backwards from Robinson.  I made a formal palette after my trip. This palette eventually informed color choices for rooms in our house.
When preparing for a trip I do collect colors I expect to find along the way.
I use them to prime the pages before I leave.  It makes the journey start sooner than the leaving the front door.
This is inspiring me to blog more about creating travel journals.  I hope to teach some workshops eventually and maybe even write a book about creating travel journals.
