Holiday Fall Behind and Posting vs Promoting

Oooo I had not realized how easy it is to fall behind posting when it comes to a holiday. (Happy 4th of July!) I was not out of town but just the change in schedule made a difference to me.  Not that I have the most rock solid schedule to begin with. I have all these half baked posted ready for pictures and editing, but alas that is not so easy on my phone.  I still turn to my laptop to make my more enriched posts. The chaos caused by one holiday really makes that challenging.

However one thing I have been doing with my time is making my posTTaska email mailing list more robust.  I read in a couple places (one very helpful website is The Abundant Artist) is the importance of controlling how, when, and where your followers see your communications.  An email list is the only way to really maintain that control.  Yes I am researching some other ways to present my art outside of basic social media.  If you have some ideas that have worked for you I would love to hear about them in the comments.

So now my mailing list is growing, and I am starting up a regular newsletter called Mysteriosity that should be fun and engaging to the readers.  I do love feed back and would love to hear what you want to see in Mysteriosity: current and past posTTaska works, things I find inspiring, more photos less words, more words less photos, technique tutorials, video demonstrations, group art challenges ...?  Tell me what you think.  I have made a commitment to replying to all comments that come in. It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a hive to make a culture.

Let's get this art party started.  The first edition of Mysteriosity will launch this week while I am traveling to Santa Fe, NM.  Talk about an inspiring place.  I know it is cheesy, but they got it right when they named it the Land of Enchantment!
